The Reverend Heather MacEachern

Reverend Heather MacEachern was baptized, confirmed and married (thirty- nine years ago) at the cathedral.  In 1998, she was raised up as a deacon by the cathedral community.  Heather and her husband Blair have been in partner ministry for more than forty years.  Heather has served on many committees and has been a lay reader and Sunday School superintendent.  She holds a certificate in Theology and Ministry from the Atlantic School of Theology and is the past president of the Anglican Association of Deacons in Canada.

 

 

Ray Carter

The Reverend Ray Carter, TSSF

Reverend Ray Carter is a lifelong member of the Cathedral Congregation. Having been Baptized here as an infant he was also confirmed here as a teen and later married his wife here thirty-five years ago. Ray has been a server, a Layreader  and a Sunday School Teacher as well as a member of Council several times and spent five years as the Dean’s Warden. In 2001 he was awarded a Diploma in Theology and Ministry from the Atlantic School of Theology and in 2006 made vows of Life Profession as a Tertiary in the Third Order Society of Saint Francis. Ray was Ordained Deacon in 2007.

 

 

 

 

 

The Reverend Maggie Whittingham-Lamont

Reverend Maggie Whittingham-Lamont is the Chaplain at the Mission to Seafarers in Halifax. She is secretary of the Parish Council of St. James’, Herring Cove. She was ordained to the diaconate in 2015 and holds a certificate in theology from AST. She is on the executive of The Mission to Seafarers Canada and is a member and past two-term president of the North American Maritime Ministry Association. She went on a work exchange to Sri Lanka in 2008 and travelled to Hong Kong in 2009 where she contributed to a paper on “Excellence in Seafarer Centre Management”. Maggie is a member of the Cathedral Outreach Committee and is the clergy representative on the Cathedral Council.
