Funerals“I am the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in me, even though they die, will live, and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die.” (John 11:25-26) Our Christian faith is centered on the belief in the resurrected Christ, who affirms a life beyond this life. The reality of death, however, is a challenge in a culture which is often focused on denying our mortality. When a death occurs, you are encouraged to contact the Church as soon as possible. This can be a time, no matter how well-prepared one is, of confusion and stress. We can help to provide both pastoral care to you and your family and to assist in making arrangements for a funeral service or a memorial commemoration. MemorialsThere are many opportunities to contribute to the fabric and work of the Cathedral in the name of a loved one. Numerous funds exist to support restoration, organ and music enrichment, the Columbarium, as well as special objects such as chairs and prayer and hymn books. In addition, support is appreciated for week-to-week operations such as flowers, bulletins, newsletters, wine and host etc. The Cathedral maintains many Outreach projects and donations to these efforts are always appreciated. Please contact the Cathedral Office for specific information on making Memorial donations. Phone: 902-423-6002 Donations can be made by using PayPal™. |
